Housing in Australia Slumps
According to an article in the Sydney Morning Herald, Home prices have slumped in Australia.
Its the same ol’ story that I’ve been harping on about thats affecting parts of the US like California. The scary thing is since its already happening over then, how far behind are we???

I’m not saying that we’re not heading for a slump, but i’m not sold that the real estate markets in Australia are a good indicator of what’s going to happen over here. I’m starting to think that we’ll just see a halt in stellar growth with minimal decline in certain areas. I doubt we’ll have the bubble bursting effect that many are worried about.

i totally agree with you which is why i’m buying in places like Salt lake City.
it’s done extremely well for me in the past and i expect to continue to do well for the next 3 years.
but i think there are a lot of global factors that might cause the US to suffer. 1. oil starting to trade in Euros – liquidity will suffer & we might see a 30’s depression like state
2. Foreign policy has gone from bad to worse. – US will become unsafe
3. Global demand for commodities – hey these points deserve their own post!
