I didn&#039;t have overly high expectations, but I wanted to get paid at least what I was getting 5 years ago during the boom.  &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;It didn&#039;t work.  I guess some companies are just different.</description>

But in addtion to using this checklist to help ask for a raise, you can also use it to determine whether you should look for a new employer.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;So many people are &quot;locked&quot; into their jobs these days and aren&#039;t looking out for themselves.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;Bottom line: You&#039;re in it for yourself and no one else.
