It might mean less demand for certain kinds of real estate (country real estate in particular) but there is a big urbanization trend continuing in Japan, so REITs that want to own residental high rises in Japan might do very well.

A falling population may change the consumer preferences in real estate as well, but that doesn&#039;t mean that there aren&#039;t great opportunities in specific segments or markets.</description>

Less people = less demand for real estate.

Better to look at Japanese robot tech which they and South Korea have chosen over unlimited immigration to replace their falling population.</description>
