Don't think I could sacrifice not having children my self, from running my business and helping people out of un-manageable debt, you can have a level of debt and still be secure (hence Mortgages and car finance).

Hmmm. I don't like to judge other's decisions. If they are happy with their choices, that's great.

For me, skipping children would be a horrible disappointment. I feel it is a part of life for me. Again, FOR ME. For me, may not be for everyone.

Its all about priorities and sacrifice, really. What are you willing to give up to get what you want... children for no debt? A latte for a house...? Choices, choices.

Its all about personal choice which is why personal finance is so great!

Best,

MGB

They just missed the greatest part of life if they are having no kids. I guess every dollar saved comes with compromise. Like you said, I prefer bad-debt-free, not good-debt-free.

I know a couple that has 3 kids and are debt-free. They do not believe in paying interest. The buy their cars cash. The wife do not work and the husband make about $40K a year.

The only drawback, They live in a 3 bedroom apartment. They do not own a house.

It is possible, but I cannot sacrifice my comfort level. I need space.

For as the couple you know, It's nice to be debt free. But I will have to have at least one child. It's nice to have grandchildren around when yoy are retired!
