Pictures of An Investment Property
After spending the past 12 months lightening my holdings, I currently have 5 investment properties left. 3 of them are in Salt Lake City and 2 are in Indianapolis.
Of the ones in SLC, two are located in Saratoga Springs with spectacular (spectacular to Californians who are used to “desert views” and dried-out shrubs) views Lake Utah. Here’s what one of them looks like.
And here’s the kitchen.

Its about 10 times nicer than my place in San Diego; at 1800 sq ft, its twice the size and and (with a 20% drop in San Diego prices and a 30% rise in SLC) only about 10% more expensive. But unlike my condo in SD, it sits on a quarter acre of land.
- Residential Housing To Drop Another 25% Since 2005, I've been saying that San Diego home prices are way overpriced and are due for a 40-45% correction. The homes are so far out-of-whack thats it's 30-50% cheaper to rent than it is to buy. Of course, the National Association of Realtors (the cheerleaders of the real estate......
- Investing In Japanese Real Estate In a previous post I had mentioned that a Japanese REIT was going IPO. I was wondering how I could get in on the action. It seems like a good idea - the Dollar should weaken against the Yen and Japan's Real Estate should appreciate after almost a decade and......

My Blog Has Doubled In Value As previously mentioned, this blog used to be worth just under $7,000. Now I found that its value has doubled in the past 6 months to just over $14,000. My blog is worth $14,113.50.How much is your blog worth?Of course, changing the code, makes it worth even more! My blog......

What are your strategies for cash flow and profit on a property like this? I am new to real estate investing and trying to learn about the various strategies. Thanks.

Hi Matt
To understand my investment strategies, read

and http://moneyshaker.blogspot.com/2005/10/understanding-real-estate-market.html
I bought in CA in 2003 and sold the properties in summer 2005. The profit was used to put 20% down on the 2 homes in saratoga springs.
I bought them very cheap at the bottom of a cycle. I recently refinanced them to pull my investment out. There’s still 20% equity in them since they’ve appreciated quite a bit. The rent just barely covers the full mortgage.

I came across Adventures in Money Making, or moneyshaker.blogspot.com recently and noticed very similar content to this site. One of the articles are flat out a copy of the other. Is the the same person owning both sites? Or is one copying the other?

that was my old site. I’ve republished all the old content here.

Oh I see. Excellent! So did you attach your blogger blog to this domain? If so, is moneyshaker going away?

No, i’ve kept it separate – the domain has value and it generates income!
I ran series of posts asking my subscribers to subscribe to this site instead, but the number of subscribers actually kept trending slightly higher – so I decided to keep it active. I now post unique content but its has a slightly different twist to it.
