		<description>Because of trading and holding costs, it&#039;s tough to turn investments in commodities into income that you can live on.  To the extent that you can use the trends to reduce your future cost of living (by buying stuff you&#039;re going to use before the price goes up), you can get all the advantages of buying stuff and then selling it when the price goes up, with the added advantage that you don&#039;t need to pay taxes on the profits.
