The World’s Most Expensive House

Anyone remember Apprentice winner Kendra Todd? No, I didn’t think so. Anyway Donald Trump (aka “The Donald”) used her previous experience as a real estate agent and had her doing some renovation work on a house he wanted to flip.

But this wasn’t any old flipper house. This was a multi-million dollar West Palm Beach Mansion that Trump bought for $41 million in 2004.

Russian Fertilizer Billionaire, Dmitry Rybolovlev, paid $95 million dollars for this property. Can you imagine the home insurance and property taxes on this thing? I wouldn’t be surprized if they ran a whopping $4 million a year.

  1. According to Zillow property tax was $980k. But I guess that could rise based on the new price?

  2. That is definately “Palm Beach” not West Palm Beach!

  3. Have you seen the one being built in Bombay, India? 10 times more expensive!!

  4. I thought that the most expensive house in the world was indian’s steel moguls Mittal mansion in london valued at $120+ mln.

  5. Rumor is he wants to do a tear down of the place and start from scratch. Either way it is expensive. The one in Bombay is disgusting.

  6. I don’t think I could ever buy something like that if I was a multi millionaire. It just seems too excessive. I would use my millions for better things like,

I would hook my PC up to IMAX theatre and use it as my monitor and speakers.

    One day….

  7. Isn’t it funny how such a boring profession as fertilizer can yield such riches. I find it gratifying that those who concentrated on the basic necessities of supporting our habitation of the planet have taken precedence over everything else… or at least in the 1st half of 2008 considering the massive run up in basic materials and energy equity markets.

Checkout the share prices of stocks like POT or MOS as verification.

  8. This guy is a multi billionaire… extremely rich

  9. trump is quite iconic of the wealth builder’s ideal. passive income via real estate has and always will be tried-true. I hate admitting that anyone deserves something like that property…
