		<description>You can&#039;t count the amount the Fed and Treasury lent or invested and say that&#039;s a cost to the taxpayer. Fact is we don&#039;t yet know whether these government investments will result in losses or profits. It is the return on the investments that will be the cost or the profit to the taxpayer. And there are precedents for the government making money on such deals. Even in the worst case the cost would be far below the total invested.</description>
