Funny Sarah Palin Song
Regular readers of my blog know I’m a big fan of Ron Paul and was disappointed (though not surprised) to see he didn’t make the cut for Presidential Candidate. I am however horrified that someone who graduated near the bottom of his college class chose an even dumber running mate. At least George Bush chose a smart running mate to counter his senility! Especially given McCain’s advanced age, the fact that Sarah Palin could actually become President is downright scary!
While you can form your opinions regarding the next President, check out this funny video/song:
While I’m no Democrat, I’d rather have a Harvard graduate running the country than a beauty pagent winner/runner-up. On another note, it’s pretty sad that Palin’s son has Down’s Syndrome. But why a pregnant 43 year woman didn’t get a prenatal test for Down Syndrome is pretty strange considering that she had a 1/35 chance [source]. (She probably wouldn’t have aborted even if she had previously known about, so I guess it’s an irrelevant question).

Based on your blog I normally find you an intelligent well informed person. But this post has demonstrated otherwise. Your arguements and basis of your opinion are completely off the mark.
When in the life of this country has a person been chosen as VP based on their qualifications to run this country? They simply aren’t! They are solely chosen on how they can compliment the candidate. While yes it’s true that the VP may become the president, it’s pretty rare.
And your argument about being a beauty paegent winner… WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH ANYTHING??? I mean come on, this country voted a damn actor into the white house. Can you even name the college he attended? I would accept that you didn’t like Palin if you gave reasons that had to do with her polices, experience, etc. But to dismiss her because she won a beauty paegent and has a son with Down Syndrome is absolutely ridicoulous.
This post is just as biased as the media. Where is your critique of Obama and his associations? His inexperience? His socialistic policies? I see nothing. All I see is that you don’t like Palin because she is hot. What ever happened to judging people based on the merrit of their character?
Does nobody realize how well McCain’s mother is still doing? Talk about old! I don’t understand how is mother can be alive and well at her age, but then argue McCain may die at any time! Doesn’t anybody realize that Obama’s mother died at the age of 47? And that Biden has had two aneurysms!
The problem with articles like this is that they give no factual information to which a person can judge the candidate on, yet still pursway many of the fans.

While I actually enjoy reading your blog and am also a Ron Paul guy myself, I think you are way off base.
In terms of Palin, she is the only one of the four that actually has executive experience. She also happens to be middle America, you know the people that are struggling and willing to work (And no, Biden is not middle class America).
McCain, has proven to be a survivor throughout his decades of service to the country.
Obama, went to Harvard and hasn’t held a job for longer than 3 years. Even with complete media backing, he still stutters when he gets into debates. Not to mention, he says “ummm…” in every 3 words. I WON’T EVEN GET INTO HIS COMMUNISTIC DESIRES…which he is.
Biden, is single greatest backer of Amtrak, the illustrius governmental venture that’s been a financial black hole…and wreaks of socialism.
I obviously take McCain/Palin over Obama/Binden any day as the lesser of the two evils.

Alex,
I believe that the government should pay for mass transit, police, education, firemen and BASIC health care. It should stay out of wall street and policing the rest of the world. And Amtrak has finally turned a profit this year!
To everyone else:
If you have any funny videos of Obama or even Ron Paul, I’ll be happy to post those.

And you might as well link to Joe the Plumber. For a capitalist blog, I would think that Obama’s answer about redistributing the wealth would be a lot more disturbing than a couple of gaffs by the VP candidate.

Actually, she took the test and knew that her child will have Down Syndrome. I would guess that God told her to keep it.

sir,
you made me laugh. although i agree that Palin is unqualified to be president….i must say that Obama is just as ill qualified. He is in his first term as a US senator. and beaut pageant runner up? what does that have to do with anything. you are coming across as a bigoted liberal. I respect your views sir, but the way you present them and defend them is so weak it is almost laughable.

Living Off Dividends: you believe that “government should pay for mass transit, police, education, firemen and BASIC health care”?
I don’t mean to attack you, but you obviously don’t understand the libertarian philosophy that Ron Paul adheres to.
You should check out a book my Ayn Rand called ‘Capitalism: the Unknown Ideal.’ I think it will help out your political thinking.
