Jim Rogers: How To Get Out of This Mess
A lot of people think Jim Rogers is an alarmist with strange ideas. However, he is a very rich alarmist who sold his Manhattan home at the peak and moved to Asia.
Check out this great video where he explains the mistakes of the 30s which he sees repeated again now.
One of my favorite books is Adventure Capitalist: The Ultimate Road Trip, which chronicles his road trip around the world. I strongly recommend it.

- Jim Rogers Gives His Take On The Economy. I always like it when he rips into Ben Bernanke! I’ve been saying this for many years. The real estate bubble was just an extension of this fantasy that you can finance growth through debt.
So sad that people who did not live this way will also suffer.

Always liking your posts…. are you on twitter? I am now, at @MoneyEnergy I think the link is. I haven’t seen this Rogers video yet – odd to not see him in his usual bowtie!

Excellent post. I just ordered his book on Amazon.com.
I never really new anything about Jim Rogers before reading this post, so thanks for enlightening me.
The videos are a little scary, but it sure sounds like the truth. Hmm.. Maybe I should learn Mandarin, too.
I was thinking about investing in some Canadian ETFs, but maybe I’ll be better off in China/Asia. I guess I will put that on hold until I read the books.

Rogers has always seemed to do the big picture outside of the US well. I’m not so sure the West will collapse quite as much as he says (though it won’t be pretty), but I do believe he is dead on with China.
